چکیده

BACKGROUND: Interleukin-4 (IL-4) is a cytokine of Th2 response and plays role as reducer or silencer Th1 work. It more related to allergic processes, with consequent loss control the disease (i.e., tuberculosis). Interferon gamma (IFN-γ) Type II interferon that inhibits immune inducts inhibit tuberculous viral replication, any immunostimulatory immunomodulatory effects. Dark specks (DS) are in background eosinophilic granular material seen aspirations lymphadenitis stained May–Grunwald Giemsa (MGG). A lesion DS festers worsens.
AIM: This study determines whether expression IL-4 associated severity compares incidences IFN-γ lesions.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: includes 100 diagnostic cases lymphadenitis, which were not successfully treated common antibiotics, but responded anti-tuberculous drugs (ex juvantibus diagnosis). Out cases, 59 41 without DS. DS, 49 positive (+) 10 negative (–). Of 31 there expressions (–); zero case (–) (+); 18 Antigen determined using rabbit polyclonal (IL-4, ab9622) (IFN-γ, ab9657), Abcam. Statistical evaluations performed Chi-square test Fisher’s exact test. Any p < 0.05 was statistically significant.
RESULTS: Expression significantly severity, compared (p 0.05). In lesions frequently expressed IFN-γ.
CONCLUSION: can be beneficial indicator lymphadenitis.
